Hey, I need some insite and some opinions. I've been doing some research and I like both the Pro-Scratch 2 system, and the CDI-500. Which one would you guys get? I'm planning on getting either one (2 players) in a roadcase, with a 2 or 3 channel Q mixer. Which one should I get? I know that the CDI-500 is newer, so maybe that one? I don't know! HELP!!!

the five hundred has the track indicator which would help you track your scratching better. the ps 2 has a bit more feature you will have to down load both manuels to really compare. In the end it is best you go by the store and play with both before you buy either. or you could buy one of each or two of each. If this is not an option, go by the store and try them both out. I have the velocity, and the dcd 1000, and the only difference is the cd indicator gives me better understanding where the cue point is so I don't over shoot my scratch point, but I would not trade either in for another brand.
They both kick butt and take names. gary hemingway for Hemi Hem Production$ |

Gary,
Actually the CDI has more features. *BPM Counter *Beat Synced Effects *4 Hot Starts/Samples/Loops *Programmable Sampler Bank *Track Marker What the PS2 has that the CDI doesn't *Bop button (but you can use any of your 4 hot cues as a bop button) *Effects Mix (although you can perform an effects mix on the CDI, it doesn't have an EFX mix button) |

But....what would you guys get? I have the money for both. Maybe one of each? I'd like to have two players that are the same, though. Which one would you guys get? The PS2, or CDI-500???

What they are saying Dizz, is that who you are differs from who they are. Your personal best does not always shine with a large price tag attached to it? Go out to a Music store that features these decks and ask to "try before you buy". Believe me for that kind of money the store will have a hard time not calling you "Sir" & going out of there way to help set up the two Deck for you to try. These guy Know there stuff, but not who you are? "So try before you buy". Bigguy. |

good advice bigguy,
I have owned the PS2's for many years, and now prefer the CDI's for the reasons mentioned above, but it is what you are comfortable with that really matters. |
