Got the LTS-50T (trussing system) and we put it together, following the printed instructions. They were very difficult to follow. The pictures inside do not match with the pictures on the cover and back of the brochure. I hope it's assembled right. I don't think it's a good sign when you're all done and you have parts left over (2-Beam connectors). This setup looks a lot more intimidating then my old single tripod. Any suggestions from the pros? How you run those ugly wires, get the whole unit up and pined in w/your lights attached? It appears to be a 2-person job, no matter what.

Yes most of the time a two person job. If you have a tall enough ladder, my suggestion is to raise the truss first and then hang your lights on. So much easier than trying to raise it after you hange everything. Make sure all your wires run behind the truss away from the crowd, usually those zip tie thingys work well for me. DO you have a pic of our completed truss for me to take a look at to see if its put together right? Whn you say I-beam connectors, are they the little holes that the i beam fits into on the tripod?

You should mount your lighting controller pack right to the truss (using the appropriate clamps). Then run all of your light's power cords right to that. Mount it about the middle of the truss, so you won't need extension cords. Then, you just have to run two wires down the tripod, power & control for the pack.
Like amp said, zip ties work. I like to use the release kind, so I don't have to cut them at the end of the night. Velcro straps work well too.

In response to the question about the I-beams, yes, I think they are the connector pieces. And I do like the idea of using the velcro ties. We eventually figured out the using a ladder idea, but saying to get the truss up first, then hang the lights, also makes good sense too. I hope this will go quicker and easier as I do it more often...
