Welcome to the site!

Advertising - did you register your business with your local/state government? It varies from state to state on what you have to do.
Do you have a website, specifically, one with your own domain name? Like a "www.djkelso.com" or whatever your company's name is.
Get listed in the local phone book.
Get some nice business cards made up.
Who or what is your target market? Weddings, corporate events, Sweet 16s, school dances bar/bat mitzvahs, house parties, etc.? You can then target your advertising accordingly.

Mixing - Do a Search on this forum. It's been discussed many times. But mostly, it just takes practice, practice, practice.

Games - It's been talked about here, too. Do a Search. Also, check out http://dju.prodj.com/ for game ideas & general DJ info.

Good luck!

Billabong do you have a web site? If so who did you go through? I checked out Prodj and am still looking. Prodj has the $99 service for a year...I'm just not really sure what I should be looking for and how much I should pay. If anyone has a little more detail on this drop some knowledge. Cool
