Well in case you guys don't already know I am in Iraq, but stationed in Germany. When I get back I attend on throwing a welcome back party at the Bases Local Hall called the Abrams Club. Its real big and spacious. I am throwing the party with my Crew called Live Wire Entertainment. We started the biz...about 8 months before we got deployed and we are keeping it strong. We threw 2 parties at a local club back in Germany where I played of course, and now I want to throw this welcome back jam. QUESTION...what type of like Theme should I use....like should I include a Talent Show, or A Fashion Show, or maybe a freestyle contest?? Basically what I'm trying to ask is what should I do to get the people attention to consider to come to the event??? Germany is weird and it sometimes is hard to promote, so I need some experts opinions on this.....Thanks.....

If this is for the guys you are serving with, you may be better off giving them a couple of options and taking a poll, to see what would interest them .

I say, promote yourself! Print up flyers and such, make sure your name is on them in big bold letters. "Special apperance by DJ Hypnotiq! Spinning trance/house/hip-hop/trip-hop/reggae/techno/funk/dub/d n'b all night!" "Other surprise guest DJ's!" (for your crew)

Theme, how about 'Welcome home our troops'! Special discount for military & family.

Great Idea Bill, but the party was already going to be free!!! I never really seen a flyer just for a dj....should my name be bigger than the event?

The event name should be big. Your name should be slightly smaller.

Yea I guess u are right....another question...does anybody know where I can make good party flyers online???? I wanty to make flyers for this party, but I have no idea where to make them at...I know there are pretty good online companies, but I don't know where to look...HELP???????????

I can't speak for Stevie Ray or Billabong but I personally use them and I have nothing but good thoughts about this company, I gave the basics for my biz card and flyers, and a few banner ideas I have and they went all out for me! KUDOS' to you guys at D.D. !!!

BTW, Sorry bout the plug guys, I feel the same way about them as I do ADJ and it's well deserved in my opinion.

Have you seen any of the pics posted of the ADJ booth at the AC DJ expo? All the banners you see are from Dowdle Designs. Hypnotiq, did you pursue this any further yet, give us an update on how things are going.

Yes and thanks for your concern... I actually got in touch with Dowdle designs, and we are trying to work things out in terms of getting things together. we haven't discussed price yet, but there really is no limit on good work you know? I want something that will stand out!!! I'm thinking an all black flyer...with bright lettering!!! what ya'll think?
