how much do you guys charge for like a basic 2 hour grad dance for grade 8s? or with the dinner music and everything for say about 5 hours? wat do you charge? Im looking for what I should charge but my prices will be in Canadian money and urs will probably be in U.S.. thanks

Well, what would you charge for a "normal" four hour party? Cut that in half. Or add 1/4 for five hours.
Also, do they want a big light show, giveaways, etc...

The DJ for our grade 8 grad gets $ 250.00 for the dance part. The school is setting up it's own PA for the formal part. He has very minimal lights, but that's the going rate for the kids how DJ around here. This price is in Canadian dollars.
