save your work files that you have done on the software so far if any. uninstall my dmx. Delete the my dmx folder found in your C: drive. download the latest update from the website on the adj product page of my dmx. NOW this is very important. once you have the .ZIP file on your desktop extract the file to your dekstop or simply open the .zip and drag the .EXE file to your desktop then reinstall the software. Should work. Let me know.

OK, pay attention:
You've placed the ZIP file on your desktop, which means you SHOULD have UNZIP'ed the file. Now, enter that folder and INSTALL the software as the computer administrator. NOW you should have this all taken care of. In the meantime, you've ignored what other people are asking in order to help you out. PLEASE, if you want people to help, please provide people with the information they request in order to get the help you need. And if you have a .ini problem, chances are MyDMX or some other error routine is going to tell you which file. I think you need to remove MyDMX, use the latest download from the internet, UNZIP that file to a folder on your desktop(or anywhere else convenient) and do a fresh install from that. Reboot. LEAVE THE MyDMX hardware unplugged unless otherwise requested. Launch MyDMX with the MyDMX interface UNPLUGGED. Mess around for a couple of hours. Any problems? Honestly, when the ESA.INI file was giving grief, it would happen even if the hardware was not plugged in. Repeat with the hardware plugged in. Plug in the hardware, get the happy tones, then launch MyDMX. Also, in my experience, leave the MyDMX hardware unplugged during boot. It seems to work better that way. Don't ask me why, but it's been part of my standard operating procedures. Some people haven't had this issue. -- Chris Pickett, Studio42 916-601-7089 http://www.studio42.com Anti Spam Advocate: http://www.studio42.org |
