I'm working on a profile for my Lytequest Motorhead lights. It has a dichroic color wheel with solid and half colors, so for the color channel I am using the 'color pick' and 'dual color' for the effects. When I save, it gives me an error message that there are non color effects on the color channel. Indeed, when I try to use the profile with the 3D visualizer, it only shows some of the colors and rest show up as white.

I would like the 3D visualizer to show all the colors, including the half colors. What effect should I use to make sure this happens? Also should I be choosing the 'use channel fader' box on these? Sorry if I'm not getting the syntax exactly right, I'm not with my other computer right now. Your help is appreciated. Thanks!!

The 3D will not show half colors. it just wont happen. It's not that powerful. if you want send me your profile and i can see if i can get rid of the error message. But realy it is not that big of a deal sometimes it happens. my email is

I pretty much got it all going now. I'm fine with it just showing white for the half colors. I was impressed that the gobos showed up in the visualizer, very cool.
One more question that's not too big of deal. On my color wheel, a value of 0 is black (or closed shutter). Can I use a closed shutter to make the light in the visualizer be blacked out on that value. Right now I just put a dark color which works okay. Thanks!

Ya you can change those values to the shutter black. It will give you a error of a sorts when you go to save but it's ok.
