I loaded the high end trackspot lights to my universe, i can use all functions except gobos and color, well i only get the color green and one gobo if that helps. what could be the issue i know its me and not the program. Appreciate all help. thanks.

This on both the 3D viz and on the actual units plugged into the interface?

Hey jingles, i swithed to the second set of trackspots that were listed and the gobos and colors work. My other question is using the fx generator. When i set all the colors to lets say red. the choice that the software selects is not red. so i have to go and manually change it to the number that represents red. So when i close the effects generator and try to go and change the faders to the red it won't allow me to do it until i close dmx and open it agian. do you know what that may be?

Which software version date are you on? Like when the program starts up what date does it say? Also what do you mean change the faders to the red? You have to be more specific. Post up screen shots of the software if you want. If your on windows vista Look for the snipping tool.

i connected my trackspots and they would not do what i asked them to. i loaded both versions of the trackspots that are in the scan library and they are not the correct channels for my trackspots i guess. The channels for x y change the gobos and the gobos channel changes the color and the colors are the y and macro is the x. i do not know how to change this, any help would be appreciated. In the visualizer everything worked correctly but when i connected the trackspots with dmx cable not mic cable thats when i noticed all of the channel faders were doing different things. http://www.highend.com/product...naires/trackspot.asp

Well you need to know which mode your using your fixtures in and use the appropriate profile before you start programming. I would hook up all my lights to test the software THEN start programming. saves time by not having to go back and make changes. What mode are you using the track spots in?

dmx mode the fixture says place it on personality 5 for channels 1-260 i cant remember the exact numbers. Then i set the dipswitches according to dmx. so i will check it when i get back to houston, i am gonna run it with my controler tonight, i have scenes programmed in their already. thanks i will let you know how it goes later.

figured it out i had to raise the pod for the movement. pan and tilt. its MS in MYDMX.
