After a few hours of operation of MyDMX today, the program seems to have gone haywire. I can no longer insert any fixtures. When I drag and drop, the fixture representation remains a light blue color, and doesn't 'drop' into the channels. I cannot insert using the specify first channel and patch button either. Running in USB mode.

I even reinstalled.

Is this a known issue? What could be the cause? What measures do you recommend to fix the issue?

DMH36,
I do not have any experience with MyDMX but, something that I have had success with in other software problems is to:
Uninstall the troublesome program,
Shut down the computer (Perform a hard boot),
Wait 90 seconds,
Restart the computer,
Reload the program from scratch.

I know current convention is to do a restart, and 90 seconds is not required but if I am getting head handed to me on a platter over and over, I go back to the old tried and true.

Good Luck

Mike

This issue just happened to me this past friday. The program wigged out!
I restarted the computer...didn't work...then I un-installed the program and then re-installed it and it still did not work. I then rebooted again and still nothing. Then I held the USB connector hard into the myDMX box as I started the program and then it worked!
So it maybe an issue with the USB slot in the box. I haven't used it since...but will try it again this weekend. That was the first time it has done that too me.

Are you running our latest version from the my Dmx site? It was released no more than 2 weeks ago. Which version date does it say when you boot up the program? Let me know. Sincerely,
