My Mydmx dongle recent went dead. Symptoms are...red power light is lit... DMX light is flashing contantly at a high rate whether a DMX cable is attached or not... The USB light comes on for a second when the cable is attached. When I start the program it immediatley defaults to demo mode. I am using new DMX cables and this whole thing was working perfectly. If it is in fact defective, who do I contact to return it? Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried a new USB cable? They are basically a USB printer cable you get with a printer. Go get a new USB cable and try it. sometimes the my dmx dongle ships with a faulty cable. Let me know your findings. Welcome to the forums.

Yes I indeed tried several different USB cables and also removed and reinstalled the software but no luck. The odd thing is that when I plug in the USB cable the green USB light comes on for a few seconds and then goes out and nothing. The DMX light is flashing like crazy though IDEAS ???// Thanks

Are you on a Mac using Vmware? or are you using a 32 Bit OS? or 64?

32 bit PC running windows xp pro.. Bear in mind this setup.. just as it is right now.. worked fine for 10 days then it quit !!!

ok ya... dongle is prob out. I am having someone from service look at your post. So i want you to call ADJ service tell them you have spoke to me and your dongle is bad.

Got it fixed !!!! All is well. The problem was a corupted driver file. The fix... Uninstall the software.. reinstall from the original CD then download the March 2009 update from the ADJ website...VOILA everything works fine, Thank you and American DJ's service dept. for all your help. I'm going to put up a separate post looking for some Chauvet profiles perhaps you can help me with. Thanks again,,, you're ACES... Kim

Hi! First time here. Got a couple of issues.

I have the same issue with the USB light being out on the dongle, but I've moved recently and can't find the original disc. Had the dongle for a few months, just getting around to learning. Can I get the original software from someone? If so email to id10tlive@hotmail.com
