I bought a brand new laptop last month with Vista. I was planing to use it with MYDMX. The MYDMX box has the vista logo on it. I came to find out that MYDMX will only run on 32bit mode Vista.

This is on the back of the box.

The Best Performance System Requirements:
• Laptop or desktop computer with USB port
• Windows XP or any up-to-date version
• 1280x1024 screen resolution
• 512Mb Memory
• Clock frequency: 1.5 GHz
• 128Mb RAM video card to use the “3D software” supporting Microsoft DirectX 9.0

This doesn't say anywhere that it won't run on Vista 64bit. Why?

Sorry about that. i believe the reason that disclaimer is not on the box or the website is because vista 64 bit systems were rare but are becoming more of a common computer system now. i have had many calls regarding this issue and it will be taken care of soon. im sorry you were misinformed or mislead.

Is there going to be a "patch" built for it?

You know i haven't heard anything about a patch. the problem right now is the drivers for the interface cannot be recognized by the 64 bit drivers in the OS. But let me ask for ya and ill get back to ya.

Ok we got word from our developers that they are currently working on a fix or workaround for this issue but it has not yet been completed and could not offer a time in which they think it will be done and ready to be implemented in the software. so we all just have to wait. Also the My DMX web page has been updated to reflect the incompatibility of the 64 bit driver.
