I'm a Newbie when it comes to laser lighting, so please bare with me. I have heard that it is best to point the Galaxian Sky to where the beam will not hit people in the eyes. My question is: With the near 90 degrees of pan, and 90 degrees of tilt, do I need to angle the unit almost straight up to maintain a margin of safety? Or is the beam diffused enough from the reflection from the mirrors?

if you put it above head level and it does not stay in a persons eye for more than 5 secs you should be good to go. If they were completely unsafe for the average user then you would all be applying for a variance license.

All the adds I've seen from them appear to have a head on camera angle. I'm thinking the laser diode is fixed and needs to be aimed just over the audiences head.

I guess thats where the "cross hair" test patterns come in. Thanks for clearing that up.
