Bedroom DJ |
Hey folks, I posted a while back regarding this topic. I own four ADJ The Max fixtures. Two of them work great and have never had any issues, while the other two act flaky in the gobo/color wheel dept. For some reason after being left on for a while the gobo/color wheels stutter. My belief is that it is bad capacitors on one of the boards. This happens regardless of whether the lamps have been on or not too. I have tried contacting ADJ's customer service but noone has an answer and as for getting the schematics from GLP, it's been hopeless. Is there anyone out there who could help me or should i just sell my 2 good ones and the other 2 for parts?

i have heard bad things about the max's since they have continuous rotation they dont have a direct wire connection. this makes them have to have regular matinence. i would sell them and get some accu spots, i have seen them in action and there look a lot better then the max's.

The Maxs' actually have a pretty nice "punch" to them. However they are "outdated"and there are more technologically advanced effects out there. My one guess for your problems is that the "insides" are getting too hot and causing the light to malfunction. If tyhats not the case they just might be faulty. Dont give up on support they should be able to help.

i dont think its over heating. just maybe some cleaning since the metal contacts might be dirty and cause irregular behavier.
