I don't know if anyone else has experienced this with their Mighty Scan. I searched the board but couldn't find this (I may have missed it).
I'm not even sure that this is a problem, but it does seem sort of odd, and I can't seem to find any documentation to prove otherwise.
I'm using a DMX Operator II to control my Mighty Scan. All the DMX channels work as stated in the manual, with the exception of the gobo wheel. I can use settings from 0 all the way to 254, but at soon as I put it to 255, the unit takes on a mind of it's own, almost as if running through the start up procudure Confused . when I set the channel to any other value, the chaos calms down and the fixture returns to normal operaring status.
If you know of this and can help shed some light on it for me, PLEASE let me know. I am perplexed... I'm thinking that there's a firmware upgrade or something that my light is lacking... anyway, thanks a bunch!

actually that IS the manual reset available for the Mighty Scan. One more thing, not in the manual , Channel six , at about 128 starts setting the color and gobo rotation speed.
