Bedroom DJ |
Hello,
I have 12 Dj spot 250's that i use for live band touring. I was just woundering if there is any other maintenance rather then cleaning the dust and lenses. I have had these for about 8 months now. Most of them sound really tight when i fire them up so i was woundering about lubeing the fixtures moving parts but i dont want to do anything without knowing. Thanks for the help |

Use water-based fog and hazes, it leaves less residue and is easier to clean.
Other than that, it should be as you've been doing. Keep them clean, change bulbs, transport as safely and gently as possible. I don't think ADJ recommends lubrication for the moving parts. Depending on what you use, it could heat up and catch fire or otherwise "melt" and drop onto the electronics and cause damage. Just some thoughts. At least you're thinking maintenance. -- Chris Pickett, Studio42 916-601-7089 http://www.studio42.com Anti Spam Advocate: http://www.studio42.org |
