I noticed the fan in my scan tron not working one day when the unit got really, burning hot and the bulb shut off. The fan still works but doesn't always start up. I took the unit down and plugged it in and the fan didn't start up until I stuck a knife into the fan to get it started. Is this something that I can fix?? Does any one know what the problem is????

Also I have two Scan Trons and they both squeak and make noise when they slowly PAN from left to right. Is this something that I can fix. Do I just put a little oil somewhere on the motor?? If so what kind of oil and where do I put it????

if you have warranty send the ligth fix it, try to do some cleanup and put fewoil in the fan and put runing out of the scantron to eliminated the oil.
or buy a new fan, with the same btu
