Hi,

As you can guess Im a mobile DJ, I use a 4ft deckstand with a 6ft crossbar.

As I am a mobile DJ I am after lights that are a) lightweight b) quick and simple to setup

My question is which ADJ lights would you recommend for a good setup??

I already have a Revo II so I was thinking of buying another and linking them together. That would take car of most dance floor areas really.

But what else would you recommened?

I was thinking about the Saturn Tri LED system (4 linked together) any comments?

Lee

I had added 2 Reflex Led Dmx. They're light weight although alittle large and thy're Led so they won't pull hardle any juice. Also they put out a large pattern and easily reach all areas of venues. They're are the second best lights I've bought next to Revo III.

Hi,

ADJ has a bunch of NEW LED lighting effects
coming out in November.
I recently purchased a Vertigo Tri-LED and it works great. I'm planning on getting the new
"Color Burst LED x 2" and the new "Quest LED" and possibly the "Revo IV" for my light set-up.
I use 2 12' light stands with 4' T-Bars.
In addition to the effect lights I have 4 Par 38 cans which I will be converting to LED bulbs soon but right now they're running regular 150 watt flood light bulbs because they are less expensive.

If you have a lead for those LED Par38 bulbs, contact me off the list. I'm interested in prices for a quantity of 32, or 8 in 4 different colors, depending on what the place offers.

I'm in the same boat as you: cheaper to get the 150-watt bulbs, but I want to save power and the LEDs are the way to go.

Thanks. Hit my web site and use the "contact us" link, it will email me.

Hi,

They have colored par 38 led bulbs on *-bay right now but I'm not spending $40 apiece on them. I'm gonna check a few local lighting stores and see what I can come up with.
I don't really need colored bulbs because my par 38's have colored gel sheets. I'll post my findings and hopefully they'll be a bit more affordable than the ones on *-bay

That's why I'm not buying those LED bulbs for my Par38's. At $40 a pop, and with 32 of these Par38's, that's a buttload of money.

I'd want the colored ones so I can lose the gel sheets. I use a standardized color set(RGB+clear or yellow), and try to aim the grouping in the same spot so I can RGB color mix. But if white is cheaper, I'd stick with the gel sheets. It works good, but my 64 LED Pros work better.

$40 is too much for me to spend refitting those right now, especially considering I barely use them anymore because of the high power draw. Sort of a catch-22. I don't use them because of the high power draw, but I can't upgrade them because of the cost. If I could upgrade them, I could use them more. Oh well, part of this crazy world. If I could upgrade half of them, I'd be happy. Then I could get the money to upgrade the other 16. Stuff to look forward to.

I just recently bought 4 D-lights, with the external sound controllers included...and I am VERY impressed with their function, AND their price. I have the four linked together and running on one of the controllers.
I also have some old lights that I still use...I have the ADJ Fearsome Four set. An Aggressor which is a bit heavy, but does a great effect. A lytequest Stargazer. a ADJ Wave, and an Oceana. Misc strobes, and blacklights, and some Par cans, and a few moonflowers, a Small fogger, and an ADJ Mister Kool...and call me old school, but I still love my mirror ball. (And so do my customers.) ;-) Come to think of it, I need to sell some of this stuff...so I can buy some of these new LED lights! ;-)hahaha
