my 1st Galaxian, motor began making loud noise so returned for replacement. The 2nd Galaxian beams froze and jerked as if internal mechanics were binding. Returned it and just received the 3rd replacement. Also defective! Portion of display is blurred due to glue or similar on the inside of lens. Lasers also freeze and then jerk. I have tried with and without sound activation on, no change.
I love this effect and really want one that works.
Please advise....

Well, if you're buying at a retail location, have them crack it open and fire that sucker up. If it passes your tests, take it home.

Otherwise, if doing this via shipping, make sure Ace Ventura isn't your delivery person!

I purchased at a local Guitar Center and they did not not in stock so had it shipped to me via UPS. All 3 arrived with no box damage and were well packed.
Obviously defective. I would love to see what problem is but the Guitar Center will not open it up. Sadly, American DJ support has not replied.

Call up ADJ directly in regards to your warranty items.

As far as Guitar Center is concerned, well, I've done similar things, a not in stock item(s) shipped to me. I had no issues. A microphone and an Audix cab grabber, nothing major.

I'm just sort of odd in that if I have some failures, I'd want to have it shipped to the store and examined. I certainly see your position as I'd tend to agree: A box with little to no damage SHOULD mean the item should arrive working properly. Clearly, not your case right now. Strange so many issues.

Definately call ADJ up, with a reference number to your repair concerns if you have one. You're spending a lot on shipping on defective lights, and you shouldn't be getting defective lights, especially not back from repair. You need to pick up the phone and talk to service. They'll do what they can to take care of you.

Very disappointed. Just called support. They have no clue and suggested I return the 3rd one and include a note in the box. I offered to do that with the last 2 defects but Guitar Center said they took care of it by phone. I will put a note in box right now. Never had a problem with ADJ lights before... really frustrated.
