Bedroom DJ |
Hey everyone,
I have a really stupid question, but being a bit lighting challenged I don't know where else to turn. I have some LED Par 64's that I want to use for my band (40 pcs). What is the best way to control them? Just want to create 10 different scenec or so and be able to change colors of these scenes. Par 64's have 5 DMX Channels 1 for red 1 for blue 1 for green 1 for dimming and forget what the last one is for. Should I go the computer route or with a simple hardware controller. I also have a 9 channel dual beam DMX Laser that I would like to use. Eventually I may add a few intelligent lights but that would probably be it. Can any one offer any suggestions and equipment I should buy? Thanks, Bucwheat |

Try downloading the my dmx software found HERE
and see if it is something you would like. you can set up your rig in the 3D visualizer. Also just to be sure are you using a 32 bit or 64 bis OS on your computer or a mac even? Let me know. I'm gonna back up what Jingles said and recommend MyDMX as well. Must run on a PC platform.
Easy to use and lots of features. I also have a hardware controller, an ADJ DMX Operator. Good fail-over gear, and still great gear on its own. -- Chris Pickett, Studio42 916-601-7089 http://www.studio42.com Anti Spam Advocate: http://www.studio42.org |
