What MIDI commands create what DMX-512 commands? I want to drive my Chauvt Omega from the DMX Operator via MIDI output from my computer. Does someone have the mapping so that I can drive the 4-channel light? In other words, what MIDI "note" = "channel 4, up". Thanks in advance.

MIDI and DMX 512 are diferent comunication protocols. I think you should buy some kind of MIDI capable Light Controller. I have OPERATOR II
it works fine with MIDI. With OPERATOR II you can turn ON or OFF some scenes and some chases.

you can't directly control the lights.

ex. I have 2 dj scan250
2 rainbow 250
if I need to turn djscans red
and rainbows blue, I need to program that scene into the OPERATOR II. and then call that scene via MIDI . The MIDI message is NOTE on X and OPERATOR II will turn on scene 1 or 2 or 3....or chase 1....2....etc

your OPERATOR is MIDI capable
