is there a special mode the board has to be in order to run through midi? I have it assigned to midi channel 1 . But is there a way to actually activate the board to run in midi mode? I see above the del key it says midi but the light isn't on.... Anyhelp would be appreciated thanks.

Mikey,
No- when you connect into a midi device, the midi indicator above the "DEL" button should begin to flash. If the LED isn't flashing, check your midi cable connection. If the connections look ok, try another midi cable. Once you get that LED flashing, you should be able to access the various pages, scenes and functions of the DMX Operator. |

Don't forget with MIDI cables that it's IN to OUT, and OUT to IN.

got it working........
works extremely well and allows for some very very impressive effects. If anyone has any interest i'd be happy to post everything in detail. i'm running an audio track through my computer using cubase sx and generating midi notes along that audio track to trigger specific scenes and lighting cues from the operator pro.... |
