What is the difference between the Mobile Ray lights and the Mobile Beam Lights?? I decided from just the video that the quality in these two systems is better than the Quick Scan lights. Plus no one had input on my question earlier. I'd rather go with 250 watts vise 150 any way. If you haven't noticed I'm trying to get the best bang for the buck here. I'm still in Iraq planning for our Marine Corps Ball. As soon as I get back I'm all over getting the system and setting up in my garage and seeing how this will look for our ball. Thanks to those who at least read this and try and help. Cool

Mobile ray uses a 4 section mirror to do more of a beam spread.

The Mobile Ray shoots out four beams of light while the Mobile Beam shoots out 1. That is the main diffrence between the two. I beleive they have the same gobos and everything else. It is just the quad mirror or flat mirror.

I think with that said I will go with the mobile rays. Has anyone used the Warp 250's. I was thinking of getting two for fill in between the Mobile Rays until I get a second set of Rays. Plus I could interchnge for smaller shows and use the Hyper beams with the Warp 250's. If you know anything about the Warp 250's let me know. Thanks in advance and thanks for the above info. Cool

I've seen the Ray and the Beam, and they are both nice lights. The Ray will probably give you more floor coverage. The Beam is like an "un-intelligent" ScanTron 250.
I would agree with you tigersharc, and pick the Rays over the SimpleScan system.
Sorry, haven't seen the Warp 250s.

Tigrsharc 1 : I just booked the BD Ball for our local Reserve Unit For the 2nd year in a row. They are having it on 11-5-05 this year. We have two TOW Platoons and 1 Scout Platoon based here. Both TOW Platoons are in Iraq right now. One of them just shipped out. The Scout Platoon just returned in April '05. The TOW Platoon that just shipped out is going to man river boats on the Euphrates. Stay Safe. ****** M.

What's Up ******M. ?...This will be my second ball to DJ as well. Last year was nice but I plan to make this one even better. As you can see I'm tryin to get ahead of the game and plan now. Tomorrow we are having our weekly meeting on the hotel set up and so forth. I put my direct input in on things like where I will be set up. Audio/ visual gear we need and so forth. I want this to be off the hook so when I charge a certain price they get what they paid for. Thanks to everyone also for ideas for the lights. If any one has tried the Warp 250's please give me heads up on if that is a good deal or maybe something else to compliment the Mobile Ray Scanners. Oh and please believe I'm being safe out here. I gotta get home. I keep my head on straight and keep an eye on my environment daily. Cool
