Leannig toward DJ Spot 250. Also like the Accu Spot 300 and the Accu Spot 250 II. Can you explain the major differences and rank them in cost.

Do schools and corporate. Maybe you can suggest some other moving heads.

Thanks in advance

The Dj spot 250 is your basic moving head. it has a halogen lamp and a gobo and a color wheel.
The accu spot 250II is a discharge lamp. brighter white color. nice gobos nice rich colors. Nice fixture. not too sure if it has a dedicated dimmer channel though.
Accu spot 300 is the exact same as the 250II but it has a prism. and a dedicated dimmer channel for sure. those three i listed start out as chaepest to most expensive.
I personally like the accu spot pro's those are a nice fixture. prism. two gobo wheels to create the gobo morphing effect. and also remote focus via DMX. which btw I believe the 300 has a remote focus via DMX aswell.
Thats my two watts.

Just what does a prism do ?

Thanks for the info, it will help me in my decision. Now I'm leaning toward the 250II.

the Prism take the output and depending on how many sides the prism has in the fixture it will split it up. so a 3 sided prism will tkae the image of one gobo and make it look like there are 3 of the same ones. sometimes the image overlaps but it is normal. Take a look at the product video.

James, thanks for the help. I ended up buying Accu Spot 250 II.

Got one in and the others are on the way. One question, confused on the dmx setting for the first light. Very hard to read the led words.

I hit the first button, use the up to find address, hit enter, then back to up and try and find "what" I want to set this fist light to dmx 1 is that correct? then the next to 17 (when it gets in) But I am having trouble reading those led lights. Help

Your addressing is correct. The manual should state what the abbreviations are for the LED readout.
