Looking at the catalog the differences in the 250 & 300. The 300 has less gobo's but separate gobo & color wheels.

Which light is brighter? The 250 has LL-EHJ 24v 250w The 300 has High output 250w halogen lamp.

Which is brighter? Why does the DJ Spot 250 weigh more than the 300? Also the spec's say you can run the 250 with a dmx operator, but the 300 specs in the catalog does not say it will operate with the dmx operator. Does the 300 work with the dmx operator?

Yup discontinued. But guess what if you find one either or will work nicely depending on the condition of the unit well with ANY dmx 512 controller. However i would recommend a DMX operator 192 for you. or perhaps a MY DMX controller. Not sure which one is brighter. Perhaps the reason why one is lighter is the advancement on lightweight parts between the years the two separate designs were made? hope this helps.

Maybe someone in marketting broke through the space-time continuum and is trying to steal technology from the future of ADJ?

Might explain why the LED products are kicking butt now.
