Hey Everyone,

I have around $1500 to spend on additions to a light system. I need at least three scans that I can use as spots for soloists. We have about 30 par cans that I am going to use for flood lights. I was planning on getting 3 Scantrons and a solo controller for spots as well as motion lighting but I am having trouble finding out what if any of the American DJ intelligents will fade in/out.

I have looked at the Concept 1's also but they may put me over budget.

Does anybody have any better ideas or information that could help me in my decision.

This will be used in a 80X80X30(Tall)theatre.

Thanks,
Dwayne

You may want to consider the Pocket Scan System Promo, They are great lights, and I use them for rock concerts all the time, but I also have used scan trons with them, and to me there isnt much of a difference, in brightness. Go for the Pocket scan Promo man... its $1119.99 omg thats an awesome deal, I bought 2 Pockets for $1000 when i got mine, but that was also in Canadian Currency.

hope this helps,

PynX

Find an Elation Lighting dealer and check out the Active Scan 250. Buying three of them will be a little bit over your budget but you are getting a great light. The scanner has a 250 watt discharge lamp which will work nicely with your pars and has a shutter that acts like a mechanical dimmer.

Unfortunately there is not a lot of AMDJ lights that features dimming. Another cheap light you may want to consider (for its dimming features) is the the Nova Scans from Visu@l Effects Inc. When the Novas first came out they had some problems relating to a faulty IC chip. Since then (after replacing the IC chips) the lights are said to be pretty good for the $200 price.

well, for your issues i suggest not getting all the same fixtures, only get two good fixtures like the Concept's, and then get one the doesn't fade, such as the ScanTron. you can use the two advanced ones for spots that need fading, and the other for ones that do not, all in your budget. if ya got any ??, hjames_007@hotmail.com
hook up! Wink
