First off i must say this site kicks ass. Sooooo much info. Maybe someone could give me a hand.
We ordered the dj scan 250 hp system and an extra 2 units also. this came with a 16 channel controler too. Also have a Chauvet colorstrip for some on stage wash. My question is: is it possible to run the 2 units on stage left and the 2 units on stage right different from the two units in the center? How do you do this. And is it possible to sync the colorstrip to work with these to co-mingle colors and whatnot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

also with the 4dj scans alone you are topped out at 16 channels. Which means no room for the color strip. Especially of you wanted to run it in a higher channel mode to acess the chases and etc. You may have to get a higher channel controller. Sincerely,

i cant find the 40a online. but anyways. how many channels does it hold maximum? also i am looking at the dmx chart for the color strip. it is 4 channels but it is very confusing to make. but we have the RGB mode. but i bet if u havea manual on hand when you add the profile to your show and you mess with the faders to match what is on the chart it should work. sincerely,

ah ok that helps a lot. Thanks. So you have the Chauvet version of our dmx op 192 (except ours us better LOL. Ya you have PLENTY of channels to run all that and then some. and to answer your first question, yes. You simply program the lights differently and save it as a scene. Sincerely, jingles.

thanks i'll give it a try. btw as far as power consumtion..how do you recomend plugging these in. how many scanners off one outlet

just remember this simple rule of thumb. watts divided by volts equals amps. for example two of the scanners is 500 watts say your outlets are standard US 120 Volt. you will divide 500 by 120 and get 4.16 amps for just two of those lights. depending on where you are using these your lucky to get a dedicated 15amps out of one circuit. you can figure out the rest newbie! you got to learn! lol! but if you need help. we're here. sincerely,
