We have the Scene Setter 24, which has been good enough with our 12 channel-pairs of 300 watt incandescent PARs... but of course now I want to throw 8 of the 64 LED Pro into the mix.

If I want individual 3-color control of all 8 LED Pros, I am eating 24 DMX channels with nothing left for the incandescent PARs.

If I bank the LED Pros into four pairs, that cuts the channels to 12 so I can still use our existing 12.... but if I do that, then I have no room to grow if we need more than 24 channels.

I can't seem to find an option in the Scene Setter 24 manual to select consecutive ranges of DMX channels mapped to the sliders: 1-24, 25-48, 49-72, 73-96, etc

Am I going to have to buy a new controller to control more than 24 channels simultaneously, per stored scene?

Is it necessary to split the 64 LED Pros into 4 pairs? Why not one group and just use a total of 7 channels? While I'm mostly using MyDMX and I do have the faders/channels available, I am assigning each 64 LED Pro its own set of channels, even though I'm just repeating it times 8 for each of my 8 lights.

I can certainly understand and wanting as much individual control as possible, mainly since once lights are installed, sometimes they can be difficult to re-access to make changes.

Not knowing HOW the Scene Setter 24 operatates, I can certainly see how you're getting the 24 channels of RGB color control, but considering each 64 LED Pro has 7 channels each, that's a bit more channels.(56 for those who are match-impaired). But you have to keep in mind you also need that dimmer channel as well. The other 3 aren't of features I really need to access often(if ever really). I don't really see how you're going to get the control you need

If you're in 3-channel mode, you might as well go for the 64 LED's and save money. 6 channel mode just don't really work for me. I really want that 7 channel mode because I want a dedicated dimmer channel.

Back to my scenario: My 8 4 LED Pros are all assigned their own channels even though I'm just duplicating the same thing per fixture. I'm not FULLY utilizing what I can do, but I've got it taken care of so later on I can do something a bit more "creative". I have the channels available on both my DMX Operator, as well as MyDMX. I'm just not taking advantage of what I have the capability to use.

I think that you're going to need a different console. My guess is that the SceneSetter 24 is a 24-channel controller. I could be wrong.

Is there a reason why you're going n 3 channel mode?
