I've always used ADJ lights ever since my first Vertigo, and my DJ business is more of a hobby...for now. I started with 4 original DJ scans and was not impressed. Somewhere along the line I ended up with 1 mighty scan, and also a Lotus, but ended up selling them cause they really didn't fit in. Which brings me to my current set up

2 Pocket Scans
1 Reflex
4 Lunar Pods on the chase controller
1 DMX Operator
1 Vertigo

Over the years I've always realized the Pocket Scans never really fit in too well cause they aren't nearly as bright as the other lights (I think the pods are even brighter) and not to mention 2 Scanners just doesn't seem to give me the coverage I want.

So I'm contemplating selling the Pocket Scans and putting the money toward a better at least more powerful brighter light.

My first question is does anyone have an idea what 2 used Pocket Scans in good condition with minimal usuage, and a DMX solo would get me?

I like all the current features I have with the Pocket Scans (minus the laser) and the only thing I'd like to have is rotating gobos and real strobing if it's not too expensive

ADJ has all kinds of scanners now, so if i'm looking at the same features as the Pockets but brighter and maybe those other 2 festures what are some of your reccomendations and also what do you think of the current set up and any other reccomendations as well

Hey spdj20, Great Setup!!! If you are going for scanners I would say go for the Accu Scans. Anything from the Accu series is GREAT! IMO. That is really all i have to say!

Hello!! I have just bought ACCU SCANS off ebay for $250 a fixture used in mint condition and they are awesome!! I love them. The only bad thing is their like 40 lbs. So I can only put 2 on my light tree. (I am a mobile DJ)

They are really bright! They have rotating gobos! And have smooth stepper motors - They can move really fast or slow, but they are always smooth and swift. The mirror dosen't stop and start. It just keeps moving. Kinda like a Rolex where the secound hand sweeps.
