Hi all - I have an old DMX Partner (man. date is Jun. 2006) and it seems to have issues remembering programs. Whenever the unit is powered off or looses power (breaker is turned off) it does not remember the programs that were recorded previously. Specifically, chase 8 has many more steps in it that were not programmed. It also will not remember its last state when powered off (which I seem to remember it doing before). Now when I power it off and back on, it has chase buttons 2 and 8 lit with audio selected - no matter what chases or mode it was in before shut-down. This happens either when power is switched off at the switch or when the breaker is switched off.

I am using this as a simple PAR controller for some LED PARS that I have and am not trying to control anything complex. Simply 8 chases with 1 to 2 steps each. I have tried erasing the unit's memory and re-programming and even tried opening it up to see if there was a watch battery that was used to hold memory. No luck

Any help would be appreciated - thinking I may just have to scrap it and get something new...

Hey Chadster1976 and welcome to the forums.

Well, I was going to suggest the battery thing. The other thing I can think of is the internal flash memory/drive is bad and needs to be replaced.

Hopefully someone from AMDJ will be along with a better explanation then I can provide. Also try giving AMDJ service a call and maybe they can shed some light on your problem.

I am hoping that someone from ADJ tech might be able to shed some light on this. Any type of troubleshooting would be helpful - schematic - steps - have they encountered this before - and if so, what was the cause... If it's something as easy as swapping out memory, then that's no prob...

I hate to go on a wild goose chase without any form of direction from someone who knows the unit.
