I'm trying to figure out how to set the base channel on my P36 Blinder. The manual says to set dip switch one to "on" to enable DMX control, and it says "The DMX address is set on the back panel." That fine, but the dip switches are the only switches and there's no table explaining how to set them properly.

Can somebody shed some... er... light on this.

Thanks,
Dave

so you need to know how to address dip switches? That should be in the manual. But let me know and I'll do my best to help out. Sincerely,

Thanks for the response. That's probably the real question, yes. After reading the manual, it wasn't clear what switch they were referring to, mostly because they'd already confused me by referring to a speed knob that doesn't exist on my box. Smiler

Maybe there's another manual I can download that has the table in it? I've poked around without any luck.

That's beautiful, thanks James!

Regarding controllers, I'm building a midi-to-dmx
box to run the p36 from my sequencer. If you're interested, an Atmel Mega88 AVR will likely be at the heart of it. The current plan is to use CC messages to control the thing, but it's hard to say how it will end up.
